The Research Of Educating Our College Students With Honesty Under The New Situation

Honesty education for college students is part of universal Honesty education. It aims to cultivate college students’ awareness of Honesty and improves the qualities of college students. Under new circumstances, strengthening Honesty education for college students marks the development in terms of the construction of the Party’s public Honesty as well as the thought of anti-corruption campaign in Chinese colleges in depth and breadth, embodies socialist core values, illustrates the important content for constructing socialist advanced culture, and also symbolizes the reform and development of colleges. Chinese colleges should establish the goal of advocating Honesty culture and carrying forward traditional virtues, firmly set up the idea of being proud of Honesty and ashamed of greediness, actively promote Honesty education into campuses, classrooms and students’ minds, foster correct values and noble moral sentiments among the students, and continuously strengthen the pertinence and effectiveness of Honesty education as well as its attraction and appeal, in accordance with the overall planning of ideological and political education for college students. According to international experience, corruption has become a "political cancer" in the world. Many colleges attach great importance to Honesty education for college students, and regard it as a compulsory subject during college education, and a series of Honesty education experience has been accumulated for colleges at home and abroad to share and learn jointly. Starting from the present situation of Honesty education for college students, this paper analyzes the problems and reasons existing in the Honesty education for college students, and puts forward corresponding countermeasures to strengthen Honesty education for college students, so as to improve the effectiveness of Honesty education. This paper develops the full text in the following four aspects:The first part is the introduction, which elaborates the background of the subject, the research significance and the status of research on Honesty education for college students at home and abroad and puts forward some research ideas and methods of this paper.The second part gives an overview about Honesty education for college students and defines some concepts related to Honesty education. The goal of Honesty education for college students, the theoretical basis and the significance of strengthening Honesty education for college students are also included.The third part adopts the method of questionnaire and analyzes the sense of Honesty among current college students as well as the achievements and existing problems since the Honesty education for college students was carried out based on the survey data of four colleges in Beijing. Besides, this part conducts an in-depth analysis on the causes for the existing problems of Honesty education for college student.The fourth part is the focus of the paper. Based on the existing problems of honesty education for college students in the third Chapter, it discusses the content of honesty education for college students under new circumstances and on the premise of abiding by the principles of college students’honesty education, puts forward that to strengthen honesty education for college students under new circumstances in terms of enriching the educational content, innovating the educational mode, and perfecting the educational mechanism is the effective countermeasure.
