The Current Study On Honesty Education

As the builder and successor of the social modernization,the college students should take initiative to put core socialist values into practice,cling to the good credit,and bear the duty of creating a society which is morally sound.However,in our real life,the phenomenon of dishonesty among the college students occurred at times,and the dishonest behaviors points yet to an embarrassing condition.Therefore,it is a must to promote and improve the nowadays honesty education among the college students,by which both the college students and our society can be morally cultivated.This paper,first of all,illustrates the basic theory of honesty education among the college students,including what is honesty,what are the content,fundamental principles and the basis of honesty education for college students.Also,we will explain the need of enhancing the integrity education from the four perspectives of core socialist values,the socialistic market economic system,ideological and political education among universities and self-development of college students.Next,the honesty status will be analyzed according to the empirical research,and the existing problems in the current honesty education for the college students will be emphasized,such as the neglect of the honesty education,or the one-sidedness in organizing the content,or single method in educational skills,or lack of participators on achieving goals,and poor effect of renovating students' heart.Meanwhile,we will have a deepening exploration and analysis on why the honesty education for the college students have been the current case,viewing from the four levels,such as the impact of social environment under the market economy,the anxiety of achieving quick success in nowadays universities,the imbalance between the moral development and intellectual development,and the student's low expectation of moral conservation.Finally,this paper comes up with pertinent approaches to strengthen and improve the current honesty education for college students: using core socialist values as guidelines to optimize the micro-environment;taking “people-oriented” idea as guidance to deepen the reform of honesty education in higher educational institution;relying on creating and keeping good family atmosphere to stress on the solid foundation of parental honesty education;setting the unity of knowing and doing as principle to raise the self-awareness of college students on honesty education.This paper is an analytic research on the concerns above,with the goodwill of offering a reference and enlightenment to honesty education for college students.
