Scientific studies have shown that the human brain is the network system which consists of about 100 billion nerve cells. The activities of People’s learning, thinking, memory, creation are accomplished by the network system. People’s learning is through the brain to information transmission, memory, processing, and the brain cognitive ability is also closely linked to the knowledge level of network. In general, the higher the knowledge network level, the higher cognitive ability of one person.Concept map presents the connection between concepts of a brief introduction graphic, centering on the core concept, to connect time concepts, and then form a hierarchical structure, the multi-node network diagram. It can prompt the knowledge in the form of network and improve the students’ cognitive ability. The characteristics of high school chemistry knowledge are scattered and disorderly, and these knowledge needs students to extensively understanding and remembering. Concept map can comb messy knowledge, creating knowledge system. However, researches of high school compulsory teaching materials for secondary development which make the knowledge content in the form of concept map are relatively rare. In view of this, the research chooses “the concept map designs and application strategies of high school chemistry "as a topic for the deeper research.On the basis of literature research, defining the meaning of concept map, determining the theoretical basis of this study, combing the application value of concept map, design principles, steps and making methods. On this basis, with the characteristics of high school chemistry course and the actual situation of the students to learn, to study curriculum standard and chemical materials, the high school chemistry compulsory 1, compulsory 2 should be carried out in accordance with the section designs of concept map. Firstly, with "chemical metrology in the experimental application" concept map, "redox reaction" concept map, "sodium and its compounds" concept map, "chemical" concept mapping, "hydrocarbon alkyl" concept map, a total of five for the typical cases, for multi-level and multi-dimensional analysis, including the content of the concept map analysis, concept, the relationship between concepts, the thinking of design, the process of using inspiration7.6 drawing, design of concept map display and reflection. Secondly, finishing 2 textbooks eight chapters, a total of 30 concept map designs.At the completion of the work, the author puts forward the strategies of concept map in the teaching design and teaching application. Teaching application includes the new lecture and recitation, autonomous learning class, group cooperative inquiry learning class, a total of four class types. The purpose of this study is to help students construct the chemical knowledge system through the concept map, for meaningful learning, instead of the present situation of the students by rote learning, mechanical training and passive learning. Therefore, this study can provide valuable references for the teacher’s teaching and student’s learning.
