Man is the existence of purpose, whether learning,work or life, needs is the precondition and motivation of all activities of people.In today’s world of science and technology progress, the rapid economic development, the culture of the growing prosperity of the social context, the need for people to highlight the characteristics of a more diverse. People’s needs not only have the willingness to accept the ideological and political education, but also related to the education content can be internalized into their own action guide. People always according to their own needs to decide what kind of activities they engage in, the same, people are based on their own needs to selectively study the content of education. If some kind of Ideological and political education is not in accordance with the needs of people or can not cause people’s needs, then any induced or forced methods are doomed to be invalid. Obviously, people’s need is an important internal factor of Ideological and political education, reasonable needs are not met or wrong needs are not corrected will affect the realization of educational purposes. Therefore, the ideological and political education in Colleges and universities can adapt to the needs of college students, it has become a key factor affecting the value of the target. In the face of the increasing needs of college students, the ideological and political education in Colleges and universities is only to adjust the corresponding educational strategies, to make the ideological and political education to meet the needs of college students, and to accept. Through the dialectical theory of human needs into the ideological and political education in Colleges and universities, it can not only embody the connotation of people-oriented, but also consolidate its foundation, so as to make the value of Ideological and political education more reasonable. The needs of college students have their own complexity. Therefore, we need to sort out the theory of human needs, straighten out the relationship between people’s needs and ideological and political education, and deeply analyze the shortcomings of the University in order to meet the needs of college students, so as to explore the new mechanism of ideological and political education in Colleges and universities, in order to get the attention of college students and the educational effect of the obvious.This paper is divided into three parts:The first part discusses in detail the relationship between people’s needs and ideological and political education. First of all, the general theory of human needs is interpreted. According to the concept of human need, this paper expounds the types and characteristics of human’s needs. Secondly, it elaborates the function of human’s need to the ideological and political education from three aspects. It is not only the motive force of the development of Ideological and political education, but also the effect of Ideological and political education. It is also the motive force of the development of the ideological and moral character of the educated. Finally, from three aspects of the need to meet the needs of people’s ideological and political education requirements. Ideological and political education is to promote the development of human education activities, to meet the needs of people is not only the essence of Ideological and political education requirements, but also the basic requirements of the overall development of human freedom, but also the inherent requirements of people-oriented education philosophy. Third, the education method ignores the emotional needs of College students. Fourth, the relationship between teachers and students, educators ignore the needs of College Students’ interpersonal communication. To analyze the problems of Ideological and political education in Colleges and universities from the perspective of people’s needs, is to analyze the reasons leading to the university students’ needs. Why, only to find out the causes for these problems in order to find an antidote against the disease, effective solution to meet the students needs. After analysis, the reasons for these problems are four aspects, first, the weakening of the concept of humanistic care. Second, the negative impact of traditional culture. Third, the impact of diversified social trends of thought. Fourth, teachers’ quality ability is limited.The third part explores the strategy of Ideological and political education in Colleges and universities from the perspective of people’s needs. By combining the theory of human needs and the actual needs of college students and educational practice, explore the strategy to meet the needs of college students: first, improve the ideological and political education goals. Adhere to the needs of college students, adhere to the needs of society and the combination of further optimization of the objective of the multilayer design. Second, enrich the content of Ideological and political education.
