Primary school education is the most basic education, whose educational objects are the children, who are at the beginning of life. Since entering the campus, they begin to accept the basic and formal education. Primary school education is the primary enlightenment education. So its school cultural activities should also be correspondingly basic. School cultural construction is based on the cultural construction on spirit level, such as the school mission and core value. The construction process of the whole school culture is a process of inside out and steady progress led by culture on spirit level. School culture directly or indirectly affect students’ all-round development, and also affects the teachers’ professional development. Therefore, culture construction of primary school is the effective measure to improve school management and the teachers’ and students’ accomplishment and satisfy the people.The author chose Wanhua Primary School as a case, which is in Zhifu District, Yantai. Through observation, interview and other research methods, the author has made a thorough research to the process, phenomenon and effect of "Moxiang" culture construction in Wanhua Primary School. The author has studied the co nstruction of this culture from the following five aspects: system, spiritual culture, behavioral culture, school-based curriculum and campus environment. Also, the author has analyzed influencing factors and studied with experts, school leaders and teachers according to theoretical studies and looking up documents, in order to put forward specific and constructive suggestions and constantly improve the school culture construction work, thus making the entire school teachers and students happier.This research mainly includes the following aspects:The first part is the introduction. It is mainly about putting forward the background and significance of this research. It also defines relative concepts of Integration of urban and rural areas, culture, school c ulture, components of school culture, the meaning of school characteristic culture and “Moxiang” culture and explains research ideas and methods. The second part expounds the basis of putting forward characteristic culture in Wanhua Primary School, analyzes the school situation, and states the basis of “Moxiang” culture, combining with the development of Chinese traditional culture and requirement for school of times development. The third part expounds the construction practice and improvement suggestion o f “Moxiang” culture in Wanhua Primary School from the the construction of the following aspects: system, spiritual culture, behavioral culture, school-based curriculum and campus environment. This part expounds in detail practical activities of the school "Moxiang" culture in the five aspects, and then proposes the tentative idea of improving the school “Moxiang” culture and strengthens the development and application of calligraphy curriculum resources according to current situation of Wanhua Primary School. The fourth part is the inspiration to characteristic culture construction of primary schools. This part analyzes and discusses influencing factours from parents’ ideas, teachers, school management and school materials. Also, it puts forward the orientation, processes and strategy of constructing characteristic culture in elementary schools. The fifth part is the conclusion.Through the research, I hope it will provide beneficial help to creating characteristic school of Wanhua Primary School. I hope it will also provide referential reference for other primary schools on promoting the construction of school culture, creating characteristic schools and practically improve the attainment of teachers and students.
