In April 2004, the Central Propaganda department and the Ministry of Education in order to implement the party’s 16 big spirits, combined the reality of primary and secondary schools, to carry out the implementation summary of carrying forward and fostering national spirit education, an outline of the summary points out:"physical education should be moderately increased through Chinese martial arts." This program is not just about the importance of martial arts access to primary and secondary schools, but also to teach martial arts by carrying forward the Chinese national spirit and the patriotism education. In August 2010, the ministry of education and the state general administration of sports joint mandate to file the national primary and secondary schools to promote implementation of martial arts movements. This thesis will have an objective analysis and discussion about the present situation of the martial arts teaching entering into the school and searches for its experiences in the junior high school of Yiyang city in terms of the requirements of the Education Ministry and the State General Administration of Sports about promoting and implementing the activity of martial arts entering into the school, which is favorable for the overall implementation and inheritance of martial arts and its culture, as well as providing the theoretical foundations and references for the promotion of martial arts entering into the school in Hunan and regulating the proper policies of the upper managing department. And the methods used in this thesis are a questionnaire survey, a literature review, an interview, field research, mathematical statistics and logical analysis. Getting the below conclusions from the analysis of data through 36 of students,36 of teachers and relative leaders, as the interviewed objects, of 18 junior high schools in Yiyang city,Hunan province.1. Martial arts at the primary and secondary school in Yiyang, Hunan province developed well, for example, teachers’ diverse teaching methods and students’ love degree are higher. The content of the martial arts in the physical education occupies certain proportion and the scheduling of lessons is moderate in view of the martial arts courses students’ learning situation assessment method is more comprehensive. And the lessons of martial art are reasonable to the adults’ physique.2. The junior high school in Yiyang’s city of Hunan province cognitive way of martial arts, learning interest, learning effect is remarkable. Martial arts teaching combined with other subjects are beneficial to promote the all-round development of physique and this is also good feedback for the operation of martial arts in junior high school. But students have more expectations about the teaching content.3. Teachers give priority to those with young teachers, the male to female ratio is moderate, record of formal schooling is given priority to those with bachelor degrees, martial arts graduates is less. Wushu Dan system focused on four, while middle and high grade is less. It also should improve the ascent of the martial arts teaching professional training and continuing education, pay attention to the teacher’s emphasis on martial arts Dan system and gradually strengthen the promotion of Dan, which is really benefit from the technical level of the martial arts rank in into the campus.In order to improve the martial art’s operation in the primary and secondary schools in Yiyang, Hunan province, the following suggestions could be taken into account.1. Firstly, contents of martial arts should focus on students’ etiquette of traditional cultural knowledge teaching and join the examination content.2. Secondly, inviting famous martial artists to make speeches, combined with the Wushu clubs, making use of the clubs’ professional skills and giving more support to teachers to improve their martial art skills thus to foster their grade level.3. Teachers’ teaching methods should be combined with modern teaching equipment, multimedia teaching, traditional teaching ways and integration of modern teaching methods.
