With the social development and competition intensifies, our primary school English teachers under the occupational stress grows day by day, if no effective control of the occupational stress of teachers in a long time, it will lead directly to burnout. From the beginning of the study of burnout in the 80 "s in twentieth Century, burnout has become an outstanding problem in the field of education. The job burnout not only can reduce the enthusiasm and creativity of teachers, but also affect the quality of school teaching, students’ development and teachers’ physical and mental health. In this study, a total of 130 primary school English teachers in Yueyang were investigated by means of questionnaire survey, and the degree of job burnout of English teachers in different primary schools in Yueyang were compared. Then the author analyze the reasons of it, and put forward the effective countermeasures to alleviate the primary school English teachers’ job burnout.The results of the research show that the overall situation of English teachers’ job burnout in primary school is serious. The teaching area, gender, age, seniority, job title, teaching grade in burnout sense of total scale and job burnout of one or multiple dimensions have significant differences, qualifications and whether teacher in charge of a class of job burnout sense of total scale and job burnout of five dimensions no significant difference. Primary school English teachers’ job burnout mainly stressors in wages and benefits does not match; social for teachers’ expectations, excessive demands; to cope with the examination of a variety of schools and the education department, appraisal; the teachers in this career will continue to pour into emotions, let a person feel very tired; pay and get out of proportion.Based on the results above, the author suggests some countermeasures for preventing and eliminating primary school English teachers’ job burnout: From the social level, the society should change the concept of talents, improve the social status of teachers, and establish social support system; From the school level, schools need to establish a "teacher oriented" management concept, improve the teacher evaluation system, but also pay attention to the mental health of teachers; From the perspective of the teachers themselves, teachers should strengthen their professional identity, cultivate the positive emotions, improve their own ability to stress, correctly handle various role conflicts.
