Parents play a decisive effect on children’s growing up. What’s more, family education is the foundation of all other education. But a data indicates that in our country, nearly 3/4 of families have wrong educating methods, which means only 1/4 of families hold scientific educating methods. So it is urgent for parents to build correct viewpoints and learn scientific educating methods.Alfred Adler is a well—known Austrian psychologist; what’s more, he is the founder of the individual psychology as well. Education and care are the motive power for Adler to put himself into psychological research, since personality is a core for education care. His concern for personal character inspires education deeply. In a word, through learning and researching the educating methods of Adler, it helps us build correct family educating viewpoints and learn scientific teaching methods as well.This thesis introduces the theoretical basis of Adler’s family educating viewpoints, including striving for superiority, self-abasement and compensation, social interest and creative self. The thesis summarizes the goals and features of family education as well as four routes, while analyzing the features of Adler’s family education. At the end of the thesis, the author summarizes how Adler’s viewpoints enlighten family education for our country, which is undoubtedly a punch line of the thesis.
