Mathematics concept is a reflection in the mind for the real world space form and the quantitative relation, is the convergence point between formation and evolution process of mathematical theory system and judgment, operation and proof of mathematical knowledge hierarchy, is the carrier to master the mathematical thought and method. Therefore, the teaching of mathematical concepts of the mathematical subject knowledge plays a very important role in the mathematics teaching.This paper summarizes the theoretical basis of teaching mathematical concepts, Ausubel’s cognitive assimilation learning theory and Piaget’s in cognitive theory. By the research methods of literature study and case analysis, this paper comparatively analyzes concept teaching mode of the domestic and foreign mathematics, reflects the current situation of the teaching of mathematical concepts and problems.Meanwhile, in this paper, we also do further analysis of influencing factors for concept learning and concept learning guidance and other issues, do an in-depth inquiry to the whole process of some of the concepts of teaching activities, and sum up the activity pattern adapted to the concept teaching concept. For the activity pattern mentioned here, that is to understand the background knowledge of concept creation, and then to introduce the concept by creating the problem situation; to establish the knowledge links, get understanding the connotation and extension of the concept, the concept symbol or image representation, related properties and rules of law, the formula of theorem; to do right selection of exercises or homework, cultivating students’ ability to solve problems; finally, to do the analysis summary of the lecture content and error-prone problems; to do a good job evaluation and reflection. In addition to the link of the thinking process to do analysis and guidance. Besides above, to do analysis and guide of the thinking process for every link the articulation. Of course, in the process of teaching, any kind of models are not fixed, teachers need to learn how to flexibly applied in teaching process.
