The fundamental aim of physics curriculum is to comprehensively improve students’scientific literacy through the expenditure of the new curriculum reform.The learning method of scientific inquiry is an important and effective way to improve students’ scientific literacy.The 5E teaching mode enables students to carry out scientific inquiry activities through the introduction,inquiry,explanation,refinement and evaluation,and to comprehend scientific inquiry methods and develop scientific inquiry ability through inquiry activities,which highly conforms to the requirements of the new curriculum reform.As an important part of physics course,physics concept is usually the focus and difficulty of a class.But because the physics concept is abstract and difficult to understand,and the traditional classroom rote teaching method makes the students to physics concept learning enthusiasm is not high,the teaching effect is poor.Therefore.This paper combines the 5E teaching mode with the middle school physics concept teaching,and explores the teaching design and implementation of the 5E teaching mode in middle school physics concept teaching,hoping to meet the requirements of middle school physics curriculum reform.The thesis consists of six parts.Chapter 1 elaborates the background,purpose,significance and method of this study,and summarizes the research status of 5E teaching mode at home and abroad.The second part defines the composition and related concepts of the 5E teaching model,and elaborates on the relevant theoretical basis of this study.On this basis,it analyzes the feasibility of applying the 5E teaching model in physics concept teaching.The third part use the questionnaire method and interview method to carry out the investigation of the present situation of physics concept teaching design and implementation effect.The fourth part elaborates the design principle and the concrete flow of teaching design based on 5E teaching mode.The fifth part selects three lessons for teaching design and implementation effect.The sixth part is the summary and reflection.According to the research results,it is found that the 5E teaching model has a positive effect on improving students’ scientific inquiry ability,which can fully mobilize students’ learning interest and curiosity,develop students’ scientific thinking and cultivate their scientific literacy through gradual inquiry activities.Due to the limitation of teaching level and time,the implementation effect of 5E teaching model in teaching practice needs to be further verified.
