Elementary education reform in our country puts forward that the basic education must change the tendency that course was paid too much attention to the knowledge. It emphasizes students to change their passive learning attitude into active learning attitude. Therefore, students can obtain the basic knowledge and skills, and form the correct values. Then they’ll be able to learn how to learn. As a new way of teaching, Game Teaching helps students master the knowledge, improve the basic operations through games. It is useful for students to stimulate their interests in learning and improve their learning enthusiasm. This entertaining way of teaching conforms to the requirement of elementary education reform, and conforms to the requirement in which new information technology curriculum standard of primary and secondary schools tells us to cultivate students’ information literacy and to improve the ability of information. From the perspective of students, this teaching method makes the teaching process playfully, so that students can learn and master the related knowledge and skills in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Game Teaching transforms the dull learning into the vivid one while not break the learning atmosphere. It really makes students learn actively. Then we can achieve the aim of promoting the comprehensive ability of students.Adhering to the people-oriented thought, this thesis explores the ways of leading Game Teaching in class. First of all, on the basis of getting through some relevant literates and looking up the Game Teaching research status at home and abroad, the author summarized the basic idea of Game Teaching and finally defined the concept of game and Game Teaching. Under the guidance of relevant theories, the author analyzed primary school information technology course from two aspects of course content and course characteristics, and analyzed the elementary students’ characteristics. Next the author expounds the design process of Game Teaching by combining application way of Game Teaching and the principles. Using the internship in elementary school, the author get Game Teaching effects in practice through the teaching design and teaching practice. After having a relatively clear understanding of Game Teaching, the author analyzed the effect of Game Teaching through classroom observation, skill test, questionnaire survey and interviews. Finally, the author combined his own practice experience with Game Teaching, and put forward some problems about Game Teaching, and gave corresponding solutions.Based on class observation, questionnaire survey and interview to the student, this thesis summed up that Game Teaching has good effect on improving students’ learning interest and learning enthusiasm. It helps students consolidate the knowledge and skills. Meanwhile, it can promote the development of students’ comprehensive ability. From this paper, hope it can provide the reference for the theory and practice research of primary school information technology Game Teaching.
