With the progress of the times and the development of science and technology, people’s life has undergone tremendous changes and the network has come into our life and become an inseparable part of it. People communicate over the network, gain access to information, shop, and learn and so on. Because of the network, many of the traditional things have changed. Traditional bullying has always existed in our life. In combination with the network, it takes a new form-Cyberbullying.Cyberbullying refers to the attack from individuals or groups, using computers, mobile phones and other electronic communication devices, to intentionally or unintentionally hurt others, sometimes even repeatedly. Cyberbullying as a new research direction within China is just emerging. Many researchers focus on the influence of Cyberbullying on college students while little attention is given to high school students. Empirical study needs to be carried out under chinese background.In this sense, this study selected a sample group of high school students, with the aim of studying the main features of Cyberbullying among high school students and its relationship with self-esteem and depression.the main conclusions of this study are as follows:1、High school students are able to use the Internet skillfully, and most of them have experienced bullying through network. Among these students, more have reported being bullied than bullying others.2、High school bullying and being bullied are positively correlated to their time spent online.Besides, Cyberbullying of boys is significantly higher than girls.3、Cyberbullying of high school students mainly takes the following form:kicking others out of the chat room, make others’personal information public, and spoof pictures. Being bullying mainly involves being kicked out of the chat room, being spreaded false information and being stealed account passwords.4、There is no satisfactory solution to network bullying. Most students will fight back with those they know. As for the anonymous, students don’t know what to do.5、This study suggests that high school students Cyberbullying is positively related to depression and negatively related to self-esteem.6、Self esteem has the mediating effect between the Cyberbullying and the depression.
