As the development of high school geography curriculum reform, the idea "all for the development of the students" puts forward higher requirements for teachers’ teaching behavior. Teachers are no longer just the interpretation of the textbook knowledge, curriculum honest executors, have taken place in the teacher’s role. Traditional geography teaching is the main test for the purpose for a variety of exam-oriented education training, combined with the characteristics of geographical discipline, textbook teaching material content is complex, with a strong comprehensive and theoretical. In the process of learning, students easily produce some resistance, some will appear even weariness. How to change this situation, and accomplish the transition of the traditional teaching mode to modern teaching mode? Utilization of geographic video resource can greatly to mobilize the enthusiasm of students learning, stimulating students’ interest, explaining intuitive geographical phenomena, helping students better access to knowledge, utilization of geographic video resource in high school teaching plays an inestimable role.This paper mainly adopts literature analysis, summarized study method and case method, through questionnaire to obtain access to the high school geography classroom video resource using situation. In view of the problems existed in video application, strategy is putting forward, combining with the video strategy research, this paper analyzes the video resource using in the book compulsory one. The main research contents and conclusions can listed as follows:First of all, based on the concept of new curriculum reform, in the tower of experience theory, transmission theory, under the guidance of modern cognitive psychology theory, we make systematic analysis and induction of high school geographic video resources, namely geographic video resources connotation, types, characteristics and uses, and analyzing its helps in high school geography class teaching.Secondly, this study through the investigation and analysis of the students and the geography teachers on utilization of geographic video resource in high school teaching, finding out some existing problems in high school geography classroom. And then to solve these problems, proposing the countermeasure mainly from the following three aspects:one is the geographical video resource collecting strategy; the second is the geographical video resource handling strategy; the third is geographic video resources using policies.Thirdly, in order to help high school teachers in geography classroom teaching, to further stimulate students’ learning interest and enthusiasm. And making students’ master geographical knowledge easily, teachers guide the teaching method of geography class. In this paper, combining with the video strategy research, this paper analyze the video resource using in the book compulsory one, providing the reference for the vast number of teachers.Overall, in this paper, based on the predecessors’ goes further research on the use of the high school geography teaching video resources, makes every effort to make video using in the normal teaching concept to arouse students’ interest and enthusiasm in geography learning, making students can more easily obtain geographical knowledge.
