The Social Capital has been one of the most important measurements of academic research, which is also one of the most popular concepts, since 1990. The appearance of Mobile Social Networking makes people ’ s studying, living, working and entertaining change enormously, which forms a brand new field of social communication. Since university students who use internet more frequently than people with other age are being influenced strongly and obviously, it is valuable and worthwhile to study the Social Capital of university students. Therefore, this report is to study the relationship between Social Capital and the use of Mobile Social Networking by university students, and the basic characteristics, formations and other impacts of Social Capital in 2015.This study aims at analyzing the relationship between the use of We-chat,a popular online social network,and network social capital. To investigate this relationship,we conducted on the experiment based on Ellison study in 2007,treating undergraduate students(N=610) from nine University as the research object. We analyzed on statistical methods such as regression analysis.The result indicates that, overall, the intensity of college students using We-chat belongs to medium level, and social capital under new media background keeps good. The intensity of college students and whose social capital are closely related, which influence strongest on bridging social capital. We-chat expands the social circles of respondents, improve mental heath of part of college students, provide emotional support, strengthen weak relationships, increase the width of social capital, accelerate students’ socialization, and help to interact interpersonal social network. In the other hand, We-chat have negative impact on the social participation and mental health of college students. The more frequently using We-chat, the smaller the social circles, whose strong relationships in life between family and close friends was replaced by weak ties online. Students in this study appear to be weaken a strong relationship and lost into excessive personalization.Above all, college students need to use We-chat correctly. Not only should they communicate across space and time effectively, but also raise to consciousness of self-discipline. In case the deterioration of internet addict, "over-organized" and "Over-personalized". They need to learn to distinguish between virtual and real social environment, conduct a healthy network social behavior.
