In the modern life, English plays an important role in the world. It becomes a communicative tool between man and man. World is becoming more and more convenient. Reading plays a significant role in the English teaching and learning, Traditional reading method sometime can’t satisfy students’ need in reading. To solve this problem, Mind Map this new teaching method has been increasingly highlighted.The thesis reported that:The objective of the study is to using Mind Map increased students’ reading score. Mind map aroused students’ motivation in reading. There are two research questions in the thesis, the first is Mind map is efficient in increased students’ reading score, the second is Mind map can aroused students’ reading motivation.The object of study is Senior high school students, 120 students was selected in the experiment, In the experiment process, the author used questionnaire, interview, and tests as the instrument of data collection. Data analyzes with the help of SPSS statistic software. Through the SPSS statistic software, we can trust the experiment dates are validity and reliability.Through experiment, the author has two findings, the first is Mind map can increased students’ score in reading, the second is Mind map can aroused students motivation in reading.
