The ability to read,write and calculate has been treated as the most basic ability for mankind to have as it comes down to its power.From the lower grades of elementary school to the first phase of basic education,it is all regarded and nurtured as the most basic ability.Among them,reading ability takes the first place,which refers to the importance of reading and also gives the reading professor the most important position in Joseon language teaching.In the wake of the recent phenomenon that students do not like to read,reading researchers are referring to the motivation for reading.Recognizing the motivation for reading as a psychological factor that causes reading behavior,research based on psychology has been drawing attention.Meanwhile,middle school students are learning readers who do not have enough motivation to read during the development process,so to help middle school students develop their reading skills,attention should be paid to the formation and maintenance of reading motives.If you can't inspire students to want to read books,you can't expect the development of mature reading skills.Therefore,this study selected elementary and middle school students from eight ethnic Korean middle schools in Yeonbyeonju to study the current status of reading motivation of Korean elementary and middle school students in Yeonbyeon area.Therefore,the purpose is to examine the problems existing in the current status of reading motivation of Korean-Chinese middle school students,analyze the causes of their existence,and present teaching strategies for solving problems,namely enhancing reading motivation.In this study,based on a prior study of the motivation for reading Korean,the difference between gender and grade was considered on the basis of the study on the status of motivation for elementary and middle school students in Yanbian area.To analyze the current status of motivation for reading,data were collected from 1,036 elementary,middle and high school students from eight cities in Yeonbyeon,and the following conclusions were obtained.l.The level of motivation for reading by ethnic Korean elementary and middle school students in the Yanbian area is normal.2.1n terms of social interaction,collecting information about books was passive,and after reading,exchanges with others did not go smoothly.3.The desire to be recognized as a book reader in the field of recognition-importantness was relatively strong,but the awareness of the importance of reading was not very high.4.1 lacked the confidence to be good at reading and did not learn how to read properly.5.1 didn't have much fun reading books in the field of entertainment.6.In terms of immersion,the overall level of immersion in reading books was not high.7.In terms of gender and grade differences,the level of motivation for reading among students was higher than that of boys and the higher the grade,the lower the level of motivation for reading.Based on these results,the teaching strategy to improve students' motivation for reading is as follows.First,support self-selective reading.Second,reading provides many opportunities for students to be praised and imprints on the importance of reading in depth.Third,make yourself masterful of the proper reading methods.Fourth,advocate continuous reading.Fifth,organize a reading club.
