| China has changed greatly since the start of the reform and opening-up policy, which has resulted in great changes taking place in various fields, especially in cultural and ideological fields. With people’s education level increased, their autonomy and individualism began to awaken, and gradually different classes formed different values and preferences. We can say that students today are obviously different from those in the past, which, to a large extent, poses a challenge to ideological and political education. And the input obstacles in ideological and political education have a serious influence on the actual effect of it. This is a problem that ideological and political educators must face and solve. Accurately identifying the causes of input obstacles and putting forward a solution is the key to promoting the current ideological and political education more effectively.Paternalism as a socialist ethics and political philosophy, in the development of the eastern and western intellectual history has a very important position, even in modern times, paternalistic phenomenon is not rare in the secular life. It is interesting to note that although the eastern and western paternalism have similar origins, but they embarked on completely different development paths. Western paternalism gradually clear the theoretical connotation and denotation, and in areas such as politics, law, ethics, economics, education and has more extensive application, designed to achieve more public welfare or personal interests by advocates of the government’s moderate interference. This interference does not only protect others’ autonomy, but is the guarantee and promotion of the autonomy.This thesis focuses on the discussion of paternalism interference theory and its development, through which we can get the core concept of personal autonomy and make clear its constituents. Paternalism theory can complement the concept of personal autonomy, and to demonstrate the legitimacy of its interference in personal preferences, further propose a mechanism for interference in individual autonomy and irrational preferences.On the basis of the core concepts, this paper pointed out ideological and political education input obstacles by living examples, and the effective input of educational information is one of the most important things to ensure the effect of ideological and political education. The emergence of input obstacles is influenced by many factors, all need to be addressed, In the analysis of the inner link between paternalism interference and ideological and political education, we can recognize their consensus on the object, task, requirement, target and method, and apply paternalism interference theory to analyzing the causes of the input obstacles. The formation of individual autonomy and irrational preference are two subjective factors of ideological and political education input obstacles, and the deficiency in ideological and political education is objective factor of input obstacles. The applicability and feasibility of paternalism interference theory to solving the problem will be elaborated respectively from four aspects. |
