"Advance Organizer" Teaching Strategy Applied In The Biology Concept Teaching

In the biological process of teaching, how to accurately grasp the concept of discipline, understand the internal level and logic of concepts is not only directly related to the key factor in the ability of students to build scientific knowledge of the biological sciences. The author through to the "advance organizer" and teaching strategy, the high school biology concept teaching research, argues that "advance organizer" teaching strategy should be applied in the biology concept teaching. To do so is conducive to students assimilate understand new concept, knowledge structure to expand, the students in the specific instance of the use of the concept.First, The author collected the relevant literature, analysis the background, content, significance, research methods of this topic study. Define concepts of Biological concept teaching and "advance organizers", making summary to high school textbooks biological concept and its classification, characteristics to draw the theory of high school biology teaching concepts applied theory based on "advance organizers".Secondly, classify and study materials which can be used as "advance organizers" in the existing PEP compulsory high school biology textbooks, concluding "advance organizers" design principles, and apply the policy to the concept of high school biology teaching, writing teaching design.Finally, The author categorize "advance organizers" of current domestic PEP compulsory biology textbooks and use instructional design in high school biology teaching concept. To verify the "Advance Organizer" Theory in biological concept teaching application effect, I selected two classes of similar conditions and results in high school of grade one, divided them into control and experimental class, using traditional teaching strategies in the control classes and using "Advance organizer" teaching strategy concept teaching in the experimental class. By analyzing initial test, last test, and delay test results, eventually concluded that the using of "advance organizers" of teaching strategies is more helpful for students to improve academic performance than traditional methods, it is good for high school students to promote learning and to maintain the biological concept and improve high school students ’ willing, interests and achievements to learn the concept of biological, as well as developing the habits of active thinking for the concept of biological knowledge.
