Derivative not only has an important status in the calculus, and also play a big role in people’s life.In curriculum reform in recent years, the high school mathematics knowledge "derivative and its application" this chapter made a significant adjustment, the design of teaching material is more conducive to the students’ independent inquiry learning, reflection and application of mathematical thinking method.Derivative is to solve the extremum, the value, function monotonicity, life optimization problems such as the basic tools, to learn, to learn through this chapter content, will lay a foundation for high school students further study mathematics.Therefore, the teacher should be how to teaching, adopt what kind of teaching method, this problem become the important content in the research of mathematics education workers. In this paper, we study the question is: high school students in learning derivative which learning difficulties will appear? Causes of the mathematics learning difficulties is what? In the teaching, teachers and how to help students to break through the difficulties? In this paper, on the basis of combing relevant derivative teaching literature at home and abroad, studied the difficulty of high school students learning derivative knowledge, affect high school students learning difficulties derivative reasons include: students’ understanding of the concepts of derivative is not balanced, not rigorous mathematical thinking, mathematics learning attitude is not correct, etc., at the same time, teachers in the teaching, guide students to autonomous learning, cultivate mathematical ability, improve the lack of mathematical logic thinking, etc.In this paper, by means of questionnaire and mathematics test this two ways, the derivative knowledge concept, the formula of the memories, reading comprehension, mathematics study interest, mathematics learning habits and problems in the investigation.After investigation statistics found that high school students learning difficulties of derivative mainly include internal factors and external factors, external factors include: subject factors and teacher factors;Internal factors for students to own factors, including high school students understand formulas and theorems, high school students memory difficulties, poor ability of students’ mathematical thinking ability, conversion ability, high school students of poor awareness, lack of interest in maths study and learning confidence, etc.In this article, through the analysis of the derivative above senior high school students learning difficulties, get the following enlightenment education: 1, establishment situation, cultivating interest 2, after-class supervision, cultivating habits, value concept, strengthening the understanding of 4 5, encourage innovation, attaches great importance to the formula, strengthen memory, spurt 6, understand the prototype, improve modeling ability of thinking.
