We live in a time that exists diversified values. A variety of values brings about value conflicts. Along with the value conflicts, it has become an indisputable fact that people have accused the moral level of landslide. When asking its reason, people point to the school moral education. Exploring the inefficiency of school moral education at present situation, one of the reasons is too high moral education target, too generic moral education content, too old moral education ways. If moral education goal sets too high, it’s easy to lead to moral not be implemented in real life. The moral personality as the goal of moral education has become an academic aspirations of many scholars. According to Lev Vygotsky’s "Zone of Proximal Development", the moral personality education in primary and middle schools should set up a basic goal, so that "If students jump, they will pick peaches". The basic goal in this paper will be referred to as the "basic moral personality"The ancient Chinese education is almost the history of moral education, paying attention to training people to become "the gentleman personality", the prominent characteristics of which is to emphasizing the responsibility, rather than getting the reasonable rights. "Basic moral personality" learns from the "rights" idea of the westward citizen education. I think that the moral personality education in primary and middle schools should be equal to rights and responsibilities. The basic goal of moral personality education is more coincide with the requirements of the reality of human nature, and therefore more easier to use and implement.This paper has five chapters. The first chapter describes the origin of the research, definition, research methods and related researches’ status at home and abroad. The second part discusses the significance of promoting basic moral personality. In theory setting up a reasonable goal will be able to guide the teaching and activities of moral education in a better way, in practice it will be better link knowing and done, and also improve the effect of moral education. The third chapter introduces the content of moral personality education, including moral personality factors (moral cognition, moral emotion, moral will, moral belief and moral habit), and moral personality’s class from high to low, this part also suggests that moral personality education should respect people’s subjectivity, advocate the unity of rights and obligations, establish on the basis of the theory of human nature. The fourth chapter narrates the measures taken to achieve the basic goals. From the way of family, cultivate educatees correct moral feelings, learn to assume moral responsibility, get filial piety charater; From the way of schools, train the educatees has rational moral cognition, know to defend the rights of the individual, no matter legal rights or moral rights, and take the following measures, for example, ways of moral education (such as integrate the music education into moral education), moral education methods (such as cognitive guidance, emotional edification, typical education and so on), the moral education content (school moral education should give equal attention to every type of education and oppose "moral education supreme"); in social aspects, encourage the innovation of the moral practice, which needs moral wisdom; in personal aspect, try to strengthen oneself, draw lessons from moral cultivation methods of the ancients, develop good moral consciousness and behavior habits; For another, individuals, school, families and society should not be separated from each other, they don’t play only one role in moral education and they should cooperate together to shape the educatees perfect moral personality. This paper will introduce some ethics thoughts such as theory of human nature, utilitarianism, etc, and it will be able to feasibly improve the actual effect of moral education.Finally, moral realm has no limits. The pursuit of noble moral personality is the goal that every citizen especially us teachers and students should to commit in a whole life.
