Research On The Sports Thought Of Jing Hengyi

Jing Hengyi was a famous educator and calligrapher in China, who had been headmaster of many schools and also once served as the leader of The Education Administration of Zhejiang Province. He devoted himself to save the Country with education. He puts forward Five Domains Simultaneously and Character Education. He pays most attention on the physical education and makes his students be active in sports and games. Until now, the scholars haven’t research Jing Hengyi’s Gymnastic Thought. People always integrate his physical thought into Character Education. With many related historical materials, I found that the research of Jing Hengyi’s Gymnastic Thought is very necessary and valuable. The contents of his Gymnastic Thought are rich. Furthermore, the features and reasons also should be studied. So I think more research should be done to expand the thought of Jing Hengyi.This essay focus on Jing Hengyi’s Gymnastic Thought, to know the contents, features and reasons, with using literatures, comparative research, expert interview and logic inference. The study results are as follows:The contents of Jing Hengyi’s Gymnastic Thought:First, he claimed that the thought of serious gentle light military tradition. Second, he thought sports is important part of education. Thirdly, he advocated that pure sports is necessary to keep healthy. Fourthly, he proposed that sports meeting are useful for school education, and even for social education. The main feature of Jing Hengyi’s Gymnastic Thought includes:sports function—ocus on education, sports value—shape personality, sports type—seek diversity.The reasons for Jing Hengyi’s Gymnastic Thought:there are many causes, such as family factors, social factors, culture and personal experiences.With Jing Hengyi’s experiences and behaviors, there are three main features of his Gymnastic Thought:first, basing on school with educational property. Second, face on the society, perform communication function of sports. Third, focus on the team spirits of sports.Jing Hengyi’s Gymnastic Thought had great influence to our school sports, social sports and democratic politics, which is valuable.
