The Ming and qing dynasty is a very important period in the history of ancient education in china. During this period, the education had a big development and from central to local formed a complete system of education. Under the condition of "Imperial examinations shall be by the schools" in the Ming and qing dynasty, local schools made great contributions to training the talents. Education in the southern area is better than that of the north and data save relatively perfect since the Ming and qing dynasty, so the academia to focus more in the southern region and the education research in nortnern is relatively small. The jiaodong region as a small area, the education material was scattered and recorded brief, so the study is difficult. However, Shandong as the hometown of Confucius, the traditional education has a long history and the education achievement is second to none in the northern area, while jiaodong as a developed region in shandong province, the study of its education condition is also very necessary.This article attempts to do some preliminary exploration in jiaodong area in the Ming and qing dynasty. Frist of all summed up the school types, including the number, the establishing evolution, the content of the teaching management and so on with the aid of a large number of forms, in order to have a system comprehensive understanding of the school in the jiaodong area. The second is about the source of education funds. Education funds is the economic foundation to the survival of the school and plays important roles in the school. The source of the education funds in jiaodong region is mainly include government funding, educational cropland income(the main source) and donations from all walks of life and the commercial interest, in the section of the donations from all walks of life, mainly from different altruist of main body, including local officials, family, gentleman, businessman, ordinary people and respectively discusses their charity contributions to the local education. The third is about the imperial examinations in jiaodong area. There is a close relationship between imperial examinations and school during the Ming and qing dynasty, appear the situation of "imperial examinations shall be by the school”, so the number of the people in the imperial examinations is become a important criteria of education quality in the region.The study of this problem is mainly by the method of the form, through analysis of tabular data to deepen the understanding of education in jiaodong area.Finally, on the basis of summarizing the full text,analyses the education features in jiaodong area.In a word, because the country’s emphasis on education, the efforts of the local officials and the full support of the local people, the school education in jiaodong area has a fast development.Under the national policy’s actively advocate, the local schools are general repaired and reconstructed, private education has acquired a lot of living space.Due to an increase in the number of school, in order to solve the problem of shortage of education funds, local officials and people started to donate to the channel, so as to ensure the normal operation of the school, it also makes it easier to improve school conditions at all levels, improve the quality of teaching, which produced a large number of talents in the imperial examination, and has an important influence in the region’s economic and social development.
