With the improvement of protection awareness of the traditional rural settlement in China, we concentrate more on rural settlements in minority area. While distinct from the representative rural settlements in minority area of southern China, the rural ones attract rare attention for geographic position and economic backwardness. With the rapid urbanization, they suffer from the development level lag and deterioration of the ecological environment. So how to protect and inherit the splendid culture and take it into the development in minority village construction has been a hot topic. In the paper, we introduce a case study of Daur’s Country in Aerla Town Molidawa Daur Autonomous Banner Inner Mongolia. Emphatically analyzing the revolutions of land use patterns. The changes of landscape patterns and driving forces are valid by literature analysis, field investigation, landscape metrics of landscape pattern, correlation analysis and grey correlation analysis. The results indicate:(1)The whole study area has low landscape diversity index, high heterogeneity and degree of aggregation, regular shape and the crescendo of structure fragmentation. From the point of view the integrity and continuity of ecosystems will be threatened. (2)The changes of the landscape pattern are principally due to the variation in population and enhancing GDP, secondly in account of gross output of grain and animal husbandry and fishery. In consequence of the influence brought by nature foreign culture, the Daur varied from the nomadic people to agricultural people. While the policy factors result in one-side protection which bring a series of problems of the development.(3)In the end, based on the research about the landscape patterns and driving forces, and organic renewal theory, some suggestion to promote the protection and development of the rural landscapes in Aerla town is proposed:improving the environment, the optimization under the principle of overall protection, making green-travel scientific, and protecting and developing under organic renewal theory.
