Social Work Intervene In The Reform Of Rural Funeral

Individuals at different stages of life exist different rituals, funeral ritual in the end of life has a specific, diverse ceremony with the development of human society. The traditional funeral rites and burial customs play a special role in the agricultural civilization. For it maintain the stability of family and consolidation of neighborhood. Reform of rural traditional funeral rites and burial customs is imperative, with the development of social economic and cultural. Due to various factors, the traditional culture in rural areas retain relatively intact. There are contradictions and conflicts between the tradition and reform, which not only affect the implementation of the reform of rural funeral rituals, but also the contradiction of harmonious society. The article stands in the perspective of cultural anthropology, presents suggestion to promote the reform of the rural funeral rituals. Based on the situation of the current reform, the author analyzes the problems in the reform and the reasons of the problems. The author use of the professional advantages of social work to solve the problems of funeral rituals reform of the Y village of G county. This article mainly divides into five chapters.Chapter I:Introduction. Introduction include the introduce of the research at home and abroad, the research methods, the purpose and mean of the study.Chapter II:The introduction of Y village. This chapter describes the case of geography, economy population, customs and other aspects of Y village in details. The main content of this chapter is the traditional funeral in Y village, including the whole process of burial funeral ceremony for the elderly.Chapter III:The problems of the reform of funeral and cause analysis. First the author analysis the obstacles of funeral, burial in the ground and other issues. Second, the author analysis the case of the problems.Chapter IV:Strategies and Recommendations. According to analysis in the Chapter III, the author stands in the perspective of social work to solve these funeral problems of Y village. Suggestions and measures in addition to perfect the laws and regulations, enforce law justly, the use of social work is more important for the reform of rural funeral.
