Historical pictures in an important part of high school history textbooks, textbooks of high school of historical pictures of display and text occupies large area, its importance is self-evident. So. Teachers guide students to use correct historical pictures learning history is particularly important.The paper from three parts discussed the historical picture in high school history teaching. The first part introduces the historical picture in high school history teaching the connotation, classification, principle of use, and the necessity of using the historical picture in history teaching, points out that the history picture is suitable for the teaching and research of the picture, Including historical figure figure(figure sculpture, portrait), historical sites figure(ruins of the ancient buildings and the reconstruction, the cultural relics unearthed in the underground figure figure), literature, history, map(figure) figure of political situation, the war situation, historical scene graph(figure in social life, ethnic and religious figure, scene graph, comic), history chart(table, statistical table, table, flow chart, diagram, histogram), historical images in the teaching should follow the scientific, objective, purpose, more interesting and instructive principle, the use of historical pictures in history teaching is helpful to inspire students’ interest in learning, cultivate the students’ history thinking ability, is helpful to enrich the students’ emotion.Pictures in the second part to the high school history teaching history common question has carried on the exploration and analysis of the causes, the main problems existing in current history teaching is part of the teachers improper selection method of the historical pictures, some teachers lack of correct understanding of the historical pictures, the part of teachers on students’ reading history image guidance is insufficient, some students lack of initiative to explore the historical picture of spirit.
