The organic combination of history curriculum reform and modern educational technology promotes the transformation of the way of educating people in history discipline.As the educational carrier of history subject,history picture is widely used in history teaching in junior middle school.The use of history pictures in junior high school history teaching can not only stimulate students’ interest in learning,but also help to enhance students’ insight and enrich their imagination,and form a reasonable historical imagination.History teaching with the help of history pictures to cultivate the core literacy of history discipline,give full play to the educational function of history discipline.This paper takes the application of history pictures in junior high school history teaching as the research theme,based on the relevant research results of "iconology",using questionnaire survey and case analysis and other research methods to explore the effective ways to cultivate core literacy in picture teaching.On the basis of his own teaching practice and the teaching examples of front-line teachers,the author summarizes the progress,difficulties and shortcomings in the application of history pictures,and tries to explore the principles and specific teaching suggestions of the application of history pictures in history teaching in junior middle school.Intuitive historical pictures can help students to establish a correct historical representation,develop their historical thinking ability,and cultivate the core literacy of history.In the process of application,teachers should,according to the needs of teaching content,take accuracy,pertinence and enlightenment as the principles of selecting and using pictures,and apply them in junior middle school history class appropriately and timely.In the process of teaching,teachers guide students to distinguish the types of pictures,use different interpretation techniques to dig out the deep information of pictures,and guide students to pay attention to the content and information expressed by pictures.Therefore,by studying the application of historical pictures in junior high school history teaching,the paper puts forward corresponding teaching suggestions in order to excavate the historical data value and educational function contained in historical pictures.
