The Moral Education Content Of The "inspiring" TV Program And Its Influence On The Growth Of College Students

At present, under the background of plenty of television programs blooming in China, various entertainment shows have attracted people’s attention, but scarce TV programs have been opened specifically for young people. Voice, as China’s first television public class for the youth, is a new kind of program transmission form. Voice shares similarities with previous dialogue and lecture columns, but it is also different from rostrum programs and talk shows. This paper regards CCTV’s Voice as the research object, adopts methods such as literature research, content analysis and case study to study and analyze Voice’s program positioning, program morphology, contents of communication and other aspects by the use of communication science. This paper selects 164 programs from 2012 when Voice was opened to 2015 as samples and makes concrete analyses of program orientation of audience, style positioning, topic selection, host discourse and other aspects combined with journalism and communication, pedagogy and other subject theories. This paper studies inspirational television programs’ basic characteristics of inspiration, edutainment and propinquity and their connotations of the moral education: education on morality standard, patriotism education, belief education and education in personality growth.Through the research on growth rules and general characteristics of college students, this paper draws a conclusion about effects of inspirational television programs on college students’ growth: improving college students’ moral values, inspiring college students’ patriotism and shaping college students’ sound personalities. Inspirational television programs convey correct values to college students unconsciously. Finally, this paper focuses on ideological and political education in colleges and universities. It expounds the present status of inspirational education in colleges and universities, analyzes and elaborates from Voice’s positive energy enlightenment to the moral education work in colleges and universities. In this way, with the positive influences of idols and models, college students can be inspirited for their determination and faiths of having dreams, chasing dreams and making dreams come true and helped to establish correct outlook and values of life. As for the inspirational education in ideological education of colleges and universities, teachers can use multimedia and enable students to study in a good environment and feel the effects inspirational education can bring to stimulate their learning motivations, form good learning atmosphere within the whole school and seek ways to make students set up pursuits of wonderful lives and lofty ideals and goals. In this way, students can be encouraged to be ambitious, cherish lofty designs, have far-reaching aspirations of serving and revitalizing the motherland and be passionate in rendering service to motherland and the people.
