Promoting the capacity of management, resource sharing and the efficiency of the practice base has become an important subject.Now the higher vocational colleges pay attention to cultivate applied talents, and focus on the ability of students’practical operation. Practice base is an important site for scientific research of teachers, and for cultivating talents of higher vocational education. From a practical sense, one of the important indicators of success in education is the management of practice base for the higher vocational education.This thesis is based on the practice base for the major of civil construction of the Guangxi Materials Science Research and Design Institutein Guangxi Cadres University of Economics and Management. The paper introduces how to plan the management of civil building practice base of Guangxi Cadres University of Economics and Management through the using of project management theory. The system of advanced project management is applied to design the organizational structure and management control of the practice base and to solve the problems such as the allocation of resources of the practice base, to the project organization and the management. The presented strategies on project management serves to fulfil the requirement of the practice base of the major and to realize the target of strategic development of the university, which is significant in promoting the development of the practice base.
