Research On The Situation, Problems And Solutions Of Community Correction Social Work

Community correction, as a way of the cxecution of punishment, is responsible for the management, education and reconstruction of the correction object from pilot to comprehensive promotion. In the operaion of community correction, all countries around the world incorporated community correction social work into the education and reconstruction of the correction object, and obtained favorable result. The Chinese executive and judiciary learned successful experience of community correction from overseas to support, encourage and introduce social work into community corrcetion social work.However, community correction social work is stll in progress in our country, and it is facing many problems and troubles. In this context, the article attempts to analyze the problems and troubles of community correction social work and put forward corresponding solutions.Mastering development status of community correction social work clearly and accurately is the basic work of doing research. First of all, the article performed a systematic review and analysis of community correction social work field of our country scholars and obtained achievements and limitations in the oretical construction layer. Next, based on the metheds of literature and interview, the article systemically summarized the genreal progress of community corrcetion social work at home and abroad and the abroad and the development status of J city in practical operation.Based on the extensively research of development status, the article carried on deep analysis on the development status of community correction social work of J city through the field visit and dictation interview, and sought the achievements and problems of community correction social work during the localization.Achievementsrthe legal system of community correction social work is gradually being established, the relevant policies and normative documents of community correction social work is gradually being perfected, the construction of community correction’s staff has begun to show their effects, the funds of community correction rose sharply, the source of finance is gradually being institutionalized, and the government is gradually enlarged the service purchases of community correction social work. Problems:there’s a lack of specialization and professionalization in matters of community correction; the social support network is faulty; the evaluation mechanism is not perfece; the community correction social work is unencumbered by judicial department.Facing the problems and troubles of community correction social work, the article will propose some solutions on the basis of referring different constructive suggestions. From the legislative angle, the government should make Laws, Rules and Local Decrees to define the statuses and duties of community correction social work. On the level of concrete operation and practice, we should establish and improve cooperation mechanism between community workers and officials, carry out comprehensive mechanism construction about the introduction of talent of community workers and effectiveness evaluation, improve culture system of ethical values and vocational skills for community workers, and build and firm social suppot system between community corrcetion social work and correction objece etc.
