A Case Study Of Adolescent Community Correction Of Banan District Of Social Work Intervention

In China, the implementation of community correction in recent years is the important measures in the reform of the criminal justice system, which has great significance from content to form.This measure not only conforms to the trend of light punishment and socialization, but also makes for re-socialization of criminal offenders. Juvenile criminals are too young to full socialization. In order to help the young offenders who has good attitudes on correcting their mistakes return to society smoothly and avoid the interruption of their socialization,community correction inevitably become the best way of penalty execution. Chongqing is the second batch of experimental unit of community correction in China. Chongqing government has done positive exploration in community correction in recent years.For example, Yu Zhong has been the first district where professional social workers involved in the project of community correction,to help more community correctional officers from "prisoner" return to the "social person".In January 2015, community correction includes in the Guiding Catalogue of Government purchase service management approach(Provisional),to further clarify the important position of community correction for young offenders in their supervision,education, probation work.A number of social work service center response to the national policy positively and applied for the community correction project.The social organizations and the public sectors carry out cooperation in the community correction field.Adolescence is a critical period of social development, involvement of social workers in juvenile offenders community correction projects and strengthening the education of youth are benefit to the completion of their socialization. This paper will be of great advantage in close connection with the development mode of value concept and methods of work and community social work for youth correction.According to the collected information in the professional practice and using of interviewing method and literature analysis, writer expound the generic process of community correction.Sum up responsibility and role of professional social workers in juvenile offenders community correction.By the case study method,writer analysis the roles of social workers in youth community correction,and sum up the case in the fourth section.In addition,I come up with some problems on youth community correction in Banan District,and put forward the countermeasures of development localization of juvenile community correction work to prevention and reduction of juvenile delinquency.
