Economic growth dynamics research has been a hot topic in economics, endogenous growth theory believes that the ultimate source of economic growth is derived from technical progress (which is, the growth of total factor productivity) For the influence factors of TFP, scholars have formed a number of representative results through in-depth discussion. The human capital, as an important carrier of knowledge and technological advancement, is considered to be the decisive factor affecting the level of TFP in a country. There are two ways which human capital through affects the level of TFP. One is a direc^way affecting the level of TFP which decided by the country’s domestic scientific and technological innovation and technological progress. The other one is an indirect way that human capital may improve the TFP by influencing the absorptive and imitation ability of international technological spillover. However, in the study of the impact of human capital on the TFP most scholars regarded the human capital as homogeneous and researched the relationship between the whole or average level of human capital and TFP which ignoring the influence of the internal structure and type of human capital on TFP. In reality, employees may play a different role in the development of technology and economic growth because of different levels of education or different kinds of education. Education is first. Education is not only the main path of the formation and promotion of human capital, but also can be used as a criterion to distinguish different human capital. From the view of education, human capital will be distinguished according to the level of education and the different types of education in this paper. And the panel data from 2000 to 2014 in China will be used to study the influence of the heterogeneity of human capital on TFP from the perspective of education. This paper is divided into three parts from structure of the research. Firstly, the part of theoretical research. The concept of TFP and human capital and the theory of calculation method will be summarized and reviewed in this part. And through the summary of the Lucas model and Nelson-Phelps model, this part will analysis of the role of human capital on TFP, which will be the theoretical basis for empirical research. The second part of this paper is the empirical research. According to the existing data, the current status and characteristics of human capital in China are calculated and analyzed. And using Solow Residual Method to calculate the TFP of Chinese provincial areas and analyze its basic characteristics. Then from the perspective of education, human capital is divided into primary, intermediate and advanced education levels of human capital according to the level of education. And according to the type of education, human capital is divided into vocational education and non-vocational education. Finally using regression model to find out the relationship between all kinds of human capital and TFP.The last part of this paper is conclusion. Through empirical research, this paper draws the following conclusions:firstly, although the level of human capital in China is greatly improved, the regional distribution is not balanced which we can see from the phenomenon that Eastern Region is higher than other regions of China. Secondly, whether the primary education level of human capital or the intermediate and advanced education level of human capital in the national scope of the impact of the TFP is significantly positively related. Thirdly, whether the human capital of different educational levels or different educational types has different effects on the TFP in different regions. Lastly, as far as China is concerned, vocational education plays a positive role in promoting the TFP, which is most obvious in the eastern part of China.
