The Demand Of Urban Home Care For Elderly And Social Work Services Research

At present, the situation of ageing populations is serious in our country. Urban home care model has been more and more urban elderly chosen, how to improve the happiness index of the elderly in home has become a problem needing to work together to face of the whole society. Among the many participants, professional social work organizations are playing an important role, it has its own professional advantage, through a variety of targeted services to home care services in the elderly.Through qualitative research methods, this article selects the community H in Jinan which is more representative. By interviewed investigation,we can find that home care needs of the urban elderly are in five main areas, including economic security, solace, life care, health care and social participation, in addition to some individual needs.On the basis of the summary of the actual needs of the elderly, professional social work organization’s pension services mainly includes four aspects, learning in old time, being cared in the old time, being happy in the old time, participating in the old time. By comparing studies and interviews with participants, we can find some effectiveness of the service carried out, such as improving the environment of home care of the elderly, arousing people’s awareness of the care for the elderly, improving professional social workers’capacity, promoting social work theory and approaches’innovation, improving the people’s acceptance of social worker, enhancing the vitality of communities, promoting the development of community self-organizing,helping the government implement and feedback policies of the aged related. However, there are still some problems, such as the scope of services is not wide enough, the professional level of service quality is not high, self-positioning confined to policy implementers.Based on the analysis of above results and insufficient, the article found that the main cause of the above problems is the lack of the front-line social workers, inadequate professional level, social institutions of self-promotion and management is weak. Suggestions are given in this paper from five aspects:front-line social workers, social work organizations, social work services itself, government and other community external environment, the elderly themselves. Detailed measures are as follows. Front-line social workers should maintain their professional autonomy, improving professional level, specializing in social work value logic. Social work agencies should focus on self-promotion and management, good volunteer management and supervision. Social work services should focus on diversity and hierarchy, good process monitoring and outcome assessment, keeping up the situation to increase service innovation. Government and community should give more support to the policy level. Older people need to change their own ideas, choosing their own way to retirement, to participate in a lot of social work services.
