Continuing education is mainly divided into two parts, namely non-degree continuing education and academic continuing education.“Long-term Education Reform and Development Outline(2010-2020)” says that “continuing education is a education for all members of society after school education, especially adult education, is an important part of lifelong learning system. ” As the main carrier of non-degree continuing education,colleges should take the important social responsibility and play an important role. At present,although the colleges has made some achievements of the development of non-degree continuing education, there are many problems. As the projects of training is very simple;out of touch with the demands of development; less sense on the development of the excellent training courses;the brand advantage is not prominent; the lack of professional and more competitive teachers;new media technology is insufficient and other problems.The thesis is mainly divided into five parts, the first chapter introduced the research background, illustrates the purpose and significance of the research, analyses the research status at home and abroad, describes the research ideas and research methods of the thesis,defines the related concepts.The second chapter elaborates the connotation of the non-degree continuing education in our country. In the third chapter, introduces the current situation of the development of non-degree continuing education in our country, and reveals the problems of the non-degree continuing education in our country. The fourth chapter introduces the successful experience of non-degree continuing education in developed countries, and provides reference for the development of it in China.In the fifth chapter, puts forward some countermeasures of the development of the non-degree continuing education for the colleges, such as updating education idea, enhance "soft power" to develop the high-quality training courses; creates the brand of teachers;increase the application of new media technology; builds the construction of teaching quality monitoring and evaluation system;improve the innovation and cooperation in running a school model.
