In the history of Chinese education, people look on education as an important way which could make the country stronger and prosperous and people cleverer and wiser. And it is also a way to make a success in future career for individuals. However, these ideas could come true only with the help of teachers. So, no matter it is in the past or nowadays, people pay great attention to teachers'quality and social status, hoping that teachers can make an example in every aspects for the society.However, with the fact that quality education system has been widely carried out during the period of the fundamental education,(that is primary education and middle school education),the problem has popped out that few teachers are qualified for the new system,and related teachers'continuing education is terribly short of. In September, 1999, the Ministry of Education issued the law---Law on Teachers Quality Training. This law is mainly to make sure the healthy development of the teachers'training for students'new text books reformation. The teachers'continuing quality training has become the pre-condition of the implementation of quality education system during the period of national fundamental education. I got a lot of first --hand materials through 3 years working experience and practical surveys in Lu Zhong senior middle school, with which I made a lot of studies about the main reason why teachers are short of continuing quality training in middle school, and I got it. That is, the only thing that matters to Education Administrators, is the College Entrance Examination.This thesis has four chapters, making a general and basic study on the teachers continuing quality training issue. The first chapter is mainly about the concept of continuing quality training and teachers'continuing quality training, and how meaningful they are. The second chapter specifically talks about the materials that I have got through 3-year teaching experience, and points out the problem that exists in the undergoing system. The third chapter is mainly to analyze the reason for teachers'lack of continuing quality training .The fourth chapter tells what quality teachers should have under the new system of continuing quality education. The last chapter, but not the least one, is the main part that I want people to focus on .This part mainly tells us the feasible measures to solve the problem we talk above.From the thesis, we know that the implementation of quality education system is the direct reason and motive factor of the teachers'training. With the support of government politics and the cooperation of middle schools, putting down the college entrance threshold, popularity of college education, the emphasis of the importance of teachers quality training, teachers'psychological health, and normal education, the investment into the library, the establishment of the quality education environment in middle school, the support of schools for both models of self learning and training on internet, and so on. Only with these policies fully implemented, can we have great improvements, with regard to the quality of teachers, students and the whole national education at large.
