In the era of the rapid development of information, education informatization and mobile learning is a major trend of development, the diversification of the form of information application in teaching is the advantage of multimedia technology and network technology. At present, some achievements in both practical exploration and theoretical research on the application of traditional multimedia technology in bodybuilding exercises teaching have been achieved, while researches on utilizing network resources for teaching and on the utilization of modern media tools are still not enough. Wechat was launched in 2011 as an application program for providing instant message to mobile phone terminal. With advantages of convenient operation, powerful information exchanges and resource sharing and so on, Wechat offers ultras conveniences in people’s work, learning, living and entertainment, especially be adored by contemporary college students. Therefore, using the method of literature, questionnaire survey, experimental method, mathematical statistics and so on, this study takes an empirical study on the application of multimedia technology in aerobics teaching in physical education major students. In the experimental group, the multimedia technology with Wechat, network and other latest media tools are applied in aerobics teaching, while in control group, traditional teaching methods and means are used. Through aerobics teaching practice for 18 weeks and 3 hours a week, a study is done with purpose of whether the application of multimedia technology in aerobics teaching in male students majoring can help improve students’ acquirements in aerobics techniques, skills and can improve students’ interests in aerobics learning and consciousness and ability of team cooperation. The final goals ar e offering references to enrich the aerobics teaching methods and to improve the aerobics teaching quality, to the reform of colleges and universities aerobics curriculum, and provide theoretical basis and practical guidance for the assistances by multimedia technology in bettering other sports curriculum’s learning.Research results show that:1, In compulsive aerobics courses for sports education male students, students using multimedia teaching means have a better acquirement of technical actions than those who use traditional teaching mode.2, In compulsive aerobics courses for sports education male students, students using multimedia teaching means have a better creation ability than those who use traditional teaching mode.3, In compulsive aerobics courses for sports education male students, students using multimedia teaching means have a better acquirement of theories than those who use traditional teaching mode.4, In compulsive aerobics courses for sports education male students, using multimedia teaching means can dramatically strengthen students’ interests in aerobics and consciousness and ability of teamwork, while the improvement in students’ self-confidence is not so obvious.
