The Application Of Group Work In Intervening The Social Integration Of “the Aged Roaming Group”

Since the reform and opening up,the economic developed rapidly, then the large-scale migration and flow of the youth labor following. When they lead a stable life and settled there, they wanted to improve parents’ lives or let their parent take care of the next generation, so a large number of foreign elders came to the city, they are “the aged roaming group ”. Meanwhile, With the advent of the aging society, the elders’ problems became increasingly serious, "the aged roaming group" is a special group of older people, they left their home, drifted to another city, and faced with integration difficulties in many places, so they were needed to pay more attention.In order to study the social integration problem of “the aged roaming group”, the study take the social integration activities of L community in Suzhou for example, through interviews, literature review, observation and other methods to collect questionnaire data, to conclude the current situations of “the aged roaming group”, among them, the most difficult is integrated into the emotion and culture.Being based on this, analyzed the social integration needs of “the aged roaming group”, including interpersonal needs, cultural adaptation needs and emotional support needs. Reference the theoretical foundation and values of group work, and use the methods and techniques of group work, analyzing the process of L community’s social integration activities. Through this study, I wish that my paper may provide “the aged roaming group” study experience.
