A Study On The Practice Of Group Work Intervention In The Recreational Activities Of The Elderly In Institution

With the rapid development of China’s economy and society,the aging problem is becoming increasingly prominent.At present,the development of China’s pension industry is not mature,the service quality of pension institutions is poor,the spiritual and cultural needs of the elderly are not satisfied and other problems have become important factors restricting the development of pension institutions.During my internship in Z pension institution,the author observed the monotonous daily life of the elderly in this institution,their enthusiasm for participating in activities was not high,their spiritual and cultural needs were not met,and some of the elderly had serious negative behaviors and depression.In order to improve the mental needs of the elderly in institutions,this paper takes the elderly in Z pension institution in H City as the research object,using social work method,in-depth analysis of recreational activities in institutions,the elderly spiritual and cultural demand for pension institutions to promote social work for the old service quality improvement,the elderly spiritual and cultural needs to provide effective ways and methods,We will promote humanized,professional and standardized development of elderly care services.Through field observation and interview,the author understood the basic situation of Z pension institution,interviewed 40 elderly people and staff in the institution,and assessed the actual needs of the elderly and the development of recreational activities;The survey found that the elderly have higher satisfaction with the material aspects of institutional life,but poor satisfaction with their spiritual needs.Institutions existing recreation activities,form a single,and old people to participate in the enthusiasm is not high,the author on the basis of literature review,in order to enhance power theory as the foundation,from the service object is the individual level,interpersonal level and environment level recreational activities for the elderly empowerment energized,using social work team work method to solve the actual problem.The study found that the concept of empowering social work and active involvement in recreational activities in old-age care institutions can improve the ability and enthusiasm of old people to participate in recreational activities,meet the spiritual and cultural needs of the elderly,and improve life satisfaction.Promote mutual understanding among team members and form group cohesion;Enrich the spiritual life of the elderly,stimulate their enthusiasm,and tap their potential;To further enhance the interaction and communication between the elderly,and create a caring and warm atmosphere in the apartment.Finally,the study summarizes and reflects on the activities of social work recreation group in old-age care institutions by combing and analyzing the group practice process,so as to accumulate experience for social work practice in old-age care institutions.
