The first private college, which dates back 31 years, was established in 1984. The faculty, which should be taken into consideration, plays a critical part in developing private colleges. There are several problems which stop the private college from developing as well as have an effect on teachers’ professional living. Therefore, it is imperative to study current teachers’professional living conditions by reasons that it’s favorable for teachers to understand their professional living conditions and make a few adjustment.The thesis makes a questionnaire on professional teachers’ occupational living conditions. The questionnaire touches teachers’ professional values and ideals、 professional status and satisfaction、professional emotional experience and expression、 professional adaption and development. Questionnaires method、interview method and text analysis method are used in this thesis.Several problems with respect to professional living conditions in private colleges are as follows:the teachers in J college have a higher sense of responsibility but lower professional identity; the teachers prefer results that benefit themselves to teaching quality; Hardworking professional living has a bad effect on their original intention; the teachers are always out of control; work overload and complex human relations make teachers feel exhausted; intensive teachers flow as a result of being short support and affirmation; the teachers’ professional competence, which should be improved, is neglected; those unimportant training programs exacerbate the plight of teachers’professional development.In terms of influencing factors, the thesis analysis following factors:ages、 genders、qualifications、titles and the ages of teaching. The results show that these factors besides qualifications, have significant effects on teachers’ living conditions; with the help of interviews, the thesis believes that national financial support policy、 leaders’ attitudes towards teachers and teachers strictly professional environment are mainly external factors which affect teachers’ professional living conditions.The thesis finally explores causes which lead to the plight of teachers’ professional living from four aspects:teachers themselves、school management、 families and social environments.At the same time, the thesis puts forward following constructive suggestions. As for the respect of the social environment, the socialis supposed to have a correct view of private colleges’ teachers and teachers’ job; perfecting national laws and regulations is a strong guarantee of private teachers’ rights and benefits; the nation should increase financial support; in terms of school management, the humanistic care should be strengthened; timing trainings should be encouraged to promote teachers professional development; the college is suggested to supplement teacher resources timely and arrange teachers’ work in reason; in terms of families, family members should be made aware of the significance of supporting teachers and communications; as for faculties themselves, faculties are encouraged to adjust attitude and have a correct understanding of their occupations; faculties are encouraged to enhance their professional development consciousness; faculties are encouraged to improve resistance of pressure; faculties are encouraged to strengthen communications with students; faculties are encouraged to use time effectively.
