With our country’s economy developing and its capabilities’growing, the Government has become increasingly concerned about preschool education. In2010, the State Council promulgated National Education Reform and Development of Long-term Planning Programs (2010-2020), taking the development of preschool education as one of7separate projects for the development of the whole education system. In order to implement National Education Reform and Development of Long-term Planning Programs (2010-2020), the Government issued Several Opinions on the Development of Preschool Education ((2010)), calling " National Ten " for short, which specifically guided the direction of development of preschool education. With the progress of society, there is increasing emphasis on preschool education. At the same time there is an increasing attention to early childhood teachers because of their role of the main force of our early childhood education. At the present stage in our country, the existing of private kindergartens is indispensable, that is a reality that we need. Comparing to the conditions of the public kindergarten teachers, the private kindergarten teachers are in much poorer condition. Therefore, our society should pay more attention to them. For our early preschool education, we should effectively improve the living conditions of the private kindergarten teachers. In this thesis, the living condition of the kindergarten teachers refers to the status of material and spiritual life of the kindergarten teachers, under the specific historical and cultural background, including occupational stress, occupational status, occupational pay, occupational environment and occupational requirements.This research utilized questionnaire and the interview to study the private kindergarten teachers’living situation in Jingzhou, including kindergarten teachers both in city and towns. We learned to find out the fact of the private kindergarten teachers’ living condition, analyze the existing problems and the reasons. Finally, we seek the effective ways to improve the kindergarten teachers’ living condition, hoping for the education authorities’ more concern about the private kindergarten teacher group, to formulate relevant policies and guide the whole society together to improve the private kindergarten teachers’living conditions.There are five parts in this thesis. The first part elucidates the reason why selecting this subject, analyzes the status of this field and introduces the methods used in this research; the second part investigates the living condition of kindergarten teacher in Jingzhou; the third analyzes the possible factor lead to the living conditions of kindergarten teacher; the forth part makes some considerations and provides some suggestions; At last draws epilogue. This research came to conclusions as following:1. The private kindergarten teachers’ occupational stress is widespread on the high level, we need to take certain measures to keep the pressure on a reasonable level, avoiding long-term adverse consequences on high pressure.2. The private kindergarten teachers’ occupational status is not high, and has yet to be improved, which has great impact on the entire professional life. There are various factors that combine to the improvement of occupational status, one of which especially important is kindergarten teachers’ professionalization. And there is a close relationship between occupational pay and occupational status.3. The private kindergarten teachers’ occupational pay is low. Their income is low and most of them have a bad welfare. There is a considerable number of the kindergarten teachers have only part of social security or no insurance. That leads to the lack of sense of security and reduce the working enthusiasm.4. The professional environment of the private kindergarten needs to be improved. The private kindergarten teachers work long hours and are loaded heavy work. They are always under great psychological pressure. They are rather tired both mind and body. Therefore kindergartens must form scientific management mechanism, not increase the additional burden of teachers, and pay attention to humane care to their teachers.5. The private kindergarten teachers’ professional requirements starting with the teachers’physical and mental health. The professional ability follows, including professionalism, the wisdom of education and the art of teaching. Many kindergarten teachers’ professional ability has yet to be improved, highlighting the need for on-the-job training.
