The Design And Implementation Of Lecture Note Taking APP Based On Android

Lecture note taking plays an important role in the process of learning, methods like draw circles and lines can help learners remember and understand what they have learned. In the era of 4G+mobile Internet, mobile learning which is based on Android-based mobile devices is very popular with it’s high efficiency and convenience. How to integrate mobile technology, the advantages of mobile learning and note taking strategies effectively that to provide a better understanding and a more convenient experience for students is the focus of this paper.Firstly, this study used methodology of literature research to analyze and conclude some researches on lecture note taking and relative technology of development of the App, and found that note taking was a kind of cognitive strategy which was one of the components of learning strategy, effectively note taking could improve the students’ learning and was helpful for deepenning and retaining memory, knowledge expressed in pictures could be easier to remember, lecture note taking was element of students’ knowledge management, and the information analysis, evaluation and sharing that were instructive to lecture note taking.Secondly, the paper used questionnaire method to survey college students group that mobile learning was widely used by, and aimed to know the present situation, tooling requirements and problems of lecture note taking in college students group. The design of questionnaire was based on extensive literature research, the content of questionnaire included level of understanding of lecture note taking, lecture note taking strategy, knowledge management and lecture note taking tool. After research and data analysis, the results were as follows:(1) Most students left out important notes in class because of the fast play speed of courseware and their slow recording rate; (2) Most students supported that methods like drawing circles and lines in lecture note taking was practical; (3) Nearly half of the students often used assistive tools like camerat in the process of lecture note taking.Finally, based on those analysis and survey results, this paper designed a lecture note taking APP based on the Android which contained functions of photos, graffiti, and drawing circle, and this APP was on the foundation of the perspective of user needs, and analysis of functional requirements and non-functional requirements. The paper described detail design flow of the APP which included front analysis, design functional, and interface design. And then, by using JAVA and XML programming language, the author developed, tested and improved this lecture note taking APP in the Android Studio compiling environment. The development process and partial module of key functions of the APP were presented in the papre.
