In 2012,MOOC(Massive Open 0nline Course) sets off a new wave of online education with its unique advantages,which has not only a profound impact on education itself,but also a huge challenge to the traditional library services. As a result,it becomes rather important to explore and establish a new service system adapted to the large-scale open learning era. It is urgent to expand into new service areas and enhance the library’s own service capabilities. Currently some foreign countries have begun to carry out MOOC library service,but most libraries in our country are still in a waiting state. With the continuous development of research on MOOC,the association between the library and MOOC unfolds continuously, which brings a breakthrough opportunity to break the current impasse for the library. The library can consider MOOC as a fulcrum to improve its position in the field of culture and education.In this paper, the literature research method is used. It concludes comprehensive list of development process of MOOC,the theoretical basis and domestic and foreign research situation,which provides theoretical guidance for the Medical Library Experiences MOOC services. The comparative analysis is used in comparative analysis on domestic and international mainstream MOOC platforms,to understand their function characteristics and summarize its advantages and disadvantages, which provides a reference for the construction of the MOOC platform for PLA Medical Library’s medical services.The method of case analysis is used in the analysis on foreign typical library MOOC practice cases, which can summarize the practical experience to provide a useful reference for China.The innovation of this thesis lies in the combination of the specific work of the PLA Medical Library,mining the best entry point for the library to participate in MOOC work. On the one hand it involves of construction of the sharing platform prototype on biomedical MOOC information,on the other hand MOOC production methods are searched to provide the experience for future construction of MOOC courses. The paper mainly consists of the following five aspects.Part 1: The Theoretical Basis and Research Present Situation of MOOCIt introduces MOOC’s meaning,characteristics and history.Also,it expounds the theoretical basis and the library research status of MOOC.It shows the comparative analysis on typical MOOC platforms,and take the three major MOOC platforms,domestic medical MOOC platform and the MOOC resource service platform of domestic libraries as three types of cases to analyze.Part 2:The Influences of MOOC on Medical Library’s ServicesIt analyzes the influences from two angles — librarians’ own quality and teaching-support service model,and describes five roles of medicine library under MOOC environmental : MOOC propagandist,MOOC curator,consultants on copyright issues, and learning space providers.Part 3: Case Analysis of Foreign Libraries MOOC PracticeAs two typical cases, the Duke University Library and the Library of the Swedish Karolinska Institute are selected. By studying their experience in the MOOC practicing process, we can summarize some enlightenment for China.Part 4: Research on MOOC Application in PLA Medical LibraryThe thesis focused on this part. Firstly it gives an analysis of users’ characteristics in PLA Medical Library, from the "user-centric" view, to understand the requests of the MOOC service objects and to search for MOOC service’s entry point. Secondly the modes of Medical Library of MOOC services are inquired, and it is proposed to develop special MOOC, to introduce out-school MOOC and to provide one-stop resource services.Part 5: The MOOC Practices in PLA Medical LibraryThe MOOC practices in PLA Medical Library are introduced in this part,including two aspects:one is to build the application prototype of biomedical information sharing platform about MOOC, the second is to explore the production methods of medical information retrieval MOOC.
