| With the widespread use and development of computer and internet technology, the online courses has gradually become the major support of Distance Education, which will be affected directly by the quality of online courses. As the main component of online courses, the online course support service plays an important role in this process. The more attentive it is, the more easily the courses can be performed and the more effective the learning is. According to the National medium and long-term educational reform and development plan (2010-2020), it is necessary to facilitate the progress education informatization and exploit premium education resources. Although many abundant and premium learning resources are involved in the existing classic online courses, the variance on individuals’learning autonomy and their dependence on teachers still negatively influence the effects of online courses. Aiming to improve the quality of online course, the present paper selects the "Modern Education Technology", the classic online course of Shaannxi Normal University, as the subject to redevelop. According to the present problems, it adds the module of the online course support services, aiming to help the user of online course (students, teachers and directors) to use it more effectively.This paper has adopted asp, Dreamweaver8.0and SQL2000to redevelop and these support services include the learning guide service provided for students, informing by message, process evaluation and Q&A service provided for teachers and the intellect management service for directors. These service can trigger students’ interests, delivering tutoring information immediately to students and lighten the burden of directors, which stimulate the important function of online courses in Distance Education.There are six chapters in this paper, illustrating how the support services are designed and realized. The first chapter introduces the background, significance, current situation and the gap; Second chapter discusses the relevant theories, concepts and methodologies; Third chapter analyzes the needs, and discusses the principles of design, the construction, the general and specific module design and major data sheet design. Fourth chapter mentions the circumstance of development, applied skills and specific performing codes. Fifth chapter shows the testing process and performing results; the final chapter concludes this development, including the new points, the limitation and implication on further studies. |
