This paper mainly puts the error of verb in written expression by Chinese junior school students as the research object, explores the reasons through analyzing the types of errors, and puts forward relevant teaching strategies.The whole paper is composed of six parts. The first chapter explains the research object, research methods and the source of corpus. In the second chapter, the error examples related to the verb that we collect are divided into five types according to their characteristics, which are redundancy about verb, using verb mistakenly, the improper word order, lacking the verb and other types of mistaken sentences about verb. And then every error example is revised properly. Finally we count the frequency of errors. The third chapter investigates errors of sequence of verbs, makes a more detailed analysis on the high-frequency verbs, and shows the present situation and features of verb errors through the data at last. The fourth chapter analyzes the reasons of verb errors from the interior of language and the acquisition of students. The fifth chapter proposes some ways to reduce the errors, according to the actual circumstances of verb errors and considering the situation of students. The last chapter summarizes the whole paper.
