Verb reduplication is a linguistic phenomenon that often occurs in our daily communication.We use verb reduplication with ease,but for Chinese as a second language learners,the flexible use of verb superposition,variable types,different semantics in different contexts will bring them problems.One of the purposes for foreigners to learn Chinese is for communication.Therefore,if foreign students can master the expression of verb reduplication correctly,their practical communication ability will be greatly improved.Firstly this paper integrates the ontological study of verb reduplication and its application in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,especially mentioned researches of comparison between Chinese and Thai.Then paper made statistics on spoken language,composition corpus and verb reduplication test paper,and found out the verb reduplication sentences with high error rate for analysis,in an attempt to find out which verb reduplication type Thai students have less knowledge of.Then verbs superimposed bias by omission,abuse,misuse three types were analyzed respectively,including verb superimposed omissions and omissions including syntax,semantic omissions and contextual omissions,abuse is analyzed from the aspects of style,tenses,misuse,divided into generation into the superimposed,the form of the verbs will not overlap use errors,Chinese verb superimposed confused with other verbs,verbs in Chinese superimposed and quantifier collocation errors,superimposed and complement of Chinese verb collocation errors,Chinese superimposed as attributive errors;Finally,the paper analyzes the causes of the errors from the factors of mother tongue,target language,students themselves,teachers and textbooks,and it puts forward some reference suggestions for teachers,textbooks and learners.It is hoped that this paper will have a positive impact on Chinese teaching in Thailand.
