With the implementation of the one-child policy, our country had such a special group-the only child lost group, most of them are over the age of 50, it make them no longer birth or adoption of a child due to physiological, psychological, social and other factors, and the number of this group continues to grow. For the loss of the only child, it is not the only child that everyone lost, but also the pillar of the spirit, the hope of life. They fall into the unimaginable pain that the common can not experience, and unable to extricate themselves, because of the loss of the only child. Even some parents who lost the only child had suicidal thoughts and actions, because they can not endure such a pain. In order to maximize their emotional energy, these groups for the loss of the only child gradually embarked on the road of the organization, resulting in some organizations of the only child lost one after another. With the growing number of self-organization, governing body maturing, the organization increasingly active, These self-organizing groups for the parents who have lost the only child indeed give the support and comfort in the life and the emotion, and helping them smoothly go through a painful period. However, on the other hand, in the last recovery period for the parents who have lost the only child, self-organization can also bring social risks and instability, due to the increasing group anger, fear and shame, social exclusion and so on with the only child lost parents’need not able to meet. Currently, only few studies are about self-organization of the groups having lost the only child at home and abroad, and most scholars believe that the self-organization has a positive effect on social interaction, individual family recovery, social adaptation and social integration for the parents who have lost the only child. And only a few scholars like Zhang Bichun pointed out that self-organized groups are facing "Internalization" dilemma in the parents participation and integration into society. In view of the existing research, this paper attempts to analyze the functional mechanism of the self-organization for the lost only child group in the perspective of emotional energy. It studies fully the emotional significance of the self-organization, through the psychology course of the parents who have lost the only child (the denial period, the transitional period, the recovery period). That by analyzing "collective emotion" about the self-organization, we can understand how positive and negative emotional energy caused by the self-organization have an impact on the parents who have lost the only child. And they are how to strengthen the kind of emotional energy? It is pointed out that attention should be paid to not only the positive function of self-organized groups, but also pay attention to the risks of the self-organized groups. This will help us rationally look at the role and function of the self-organized groups, but also help the government, experts and scholars propose targeted coping strategies and solutions from three different stages, in committed to the research about the self-organized groups, in order to better address the psychological problems of the parents who have lost the only child.
