Emotion understanding is the ability to understand the causes and possible effects of emotions,as well as the ability to infer and interpret the emotions of others and to respond appropriately to them.Emotion understanding is one part of emotional competence.Good emotion understanding play an effective role in children’s emotion management and dealing with peer conflict,and also play an important role in children’s social development.Therefore,collective emotional conversation can promote their emotion understanding and improve children’s interpersonal skills.This study is based on the theoretical study of emotional conversation,emotional education,emotional competence in domestic and foreign countries.The study combined the concerns and requirements of China’s programmatic documents on children’s emotions.Researcher captured children’s emotional problems in kindergarten in order to design and implement collective emotional conversation activities.Taking the emotion understanding as the detection index,using the observation method,the experiment method,the interview method to carry on the quantitative and qualitative research to access the implementation effect of collective emotional conversation.Two middle classes children(60 people)participated in the study,one of which was experimental class,another one is control class.The researchers conducted a two-month and twelve-class course intervention on experimental class.The results showed: Firstly,collective emotional conversation can promote children ’ s emotion understanding.The emotional explanation and mixed emotion understanding of experimental children in emotion understanding were significantly reduced.Secondly,collective emotional conversation increases children’s prosocial behavior..In short,collective emotional conversation promote the adaptation of young children’s social and emotion.This study also analyzes and discusses the design and implementation of collectiveemotional conversation,and puts forward own suggestion on the implementation of collective emotional conversation to teachers.Teachers can make social goals and educational recommendations refer to ‘The guide to learning and development for children aged 3 to 6’ and ‘Pre-school education course guide’.Teachers should also improve their emotional competence and relevant theoretical knowledge.Teachers and parents should establish a learning community,and try to communicate with children in an empathic,equality and trustful way.Families and kindergarten can cooperate closely to improve children’s emotional competence.
