High school Chinese courses are based on The Ordinary High School Language Curriculum Standard. Elective courses has its unique teaching function:one is expanding students’ knowledge and abilities; the other is reflecting the personality of students and cultivating students’ interests and talents. How to carry out The Ordinary High School Language Curriculum Standard’s requirement, to make full use of these resources, is worth pondering and exploring.Based on teaching practice, this paper takes Chinese Ancient Prose and Poetry Appreciation as an example, and it is aimed at some problems existing in teaching status quo.Make the nature of the objectives clear, and then finds problems, analyzes problems, finally puts forward the solution to solve problems. Makes every effort to explore one teaching strategy which is accord with the present teaching practice of elective courses, in order to play the role of elective courses preferably.First of all, the high school Chinese elective course teaching in Anhui Province has implemented for many years.Through the daily teaching practice and investigation of the high school Chinese elective courses by questionnaire and interview, we found that the teaching content of courses,teaching strategies and teaching evaluation system have many problems, such as compulsory elective course teaching, unclear teaching goals, single teaching mode, unscientific teaching evaluation system and so on. The purpose of this article is throwing out these problems, analyzing the crux and target, presenting the relevant teaching strategy of elective courses for the next step to lay the foundation.Secondly, we must strive to solve the problems after found the problems. As required by The Ordinary High School Language Curriculum Standard, this paper is aimed ait implementing the goals of high school Chinese courses teaching, achieving the unification of instrumental and humanism, boosting the enthusiasm of students and developing students language view and literacy.These are the goals of Chinese teaching.That is the embodiment of the quality education. In view of the characteristic of Chinese Ancient Prose and Poetry Appreciation, this paper obtains from the teaching strategies and teaching mode, builds up the "123" teaching strategy, that is said, carries out a principle, pays special attention to the two main body, deals with the three links scientifically, i.e.That is to say, makes certain of the nature of elective courses and positioning, pays special attention to teachers and students who are the main body of teaching, analyzes the teaching goals, teaching contents and teaching methods.
