In April 2003, The Ministry of Education promulgated the “ordinary high school Chinese curriculum standards(experiment)”. It divided high school Chinese curriculum into two parts——compulsory courses and elective courses, and the high school Chinese elective courses system is designed,elective courses to become an important part of high school Chinese courses. Effective implementation of the high school Chinese elective courses directly related to the success or failure of the new curriculum reform. Guangdong province is the first batch of new curriculum reform experiment in 2004 and began to open the high school Chinese elective courses.Guangdong Zhong Yuan School is a model high school in Guangdong Province.After more than ten years explore, high school Chinese elective courses had made some encouraging achievements,but also have some problems. The whole paper includes three parts.The first chapter is Introduction. It includes introduces the research reasons of this paper and define the high school Chinese elective courses, explore the domestic research on the status of the high school Chinese elective courses and clarify the content, purpose, meaning and methods of the study.The second chapter is survey and analysis the data of high school language elective curriculum implementation.This paper in the form of questionnaires and classroom observation to investigate in Guangdong Zhong Yuan middle school.It includes five aspects,they are the understanding of elective courses,organization and setting up,teaching school-based curriculum and curriculum evaluation. Achievements can be divided into three areas.The third chapter of this paper is for the problem of high school Chinese elective courses in practice.It from the organization of elective courses,teaching, curriculum resources and course evaluation to make suggestions and countermeasures.
