In traditional China, especially in the southern areas of deep cultural lineage, clan has occupied a very important position in the village governance pattern. KMT government began to focus on strengthening the rural society, and through the establishment of county government, consolidate tax, establish security and a series of ways to learn, and gradually penetrate into rural society of state power. However, when the clan as an informal power, which go hand in hand in the control of rural society. After the founding of New China’s attempt to eliminate the influence of the original clan, he recreated grass-roots organizations, and through land reform, breaking the previous social structure, reshaping the rural society. In some years then, the state has realized the direct control of the rural society, and the clan disappeared in people’s eyes.In the study, through fieldwork and practice of oral history Jiang Nan village in the west of Jiang Xi, I collected a lot of first-hand information, and these materials and then a lot of oral history archives and local history genealogy collation and analysis together, from a political sociology the perspective of reshaping the social and historical context style, based on a story by microscopic village to show the path of state power on Countryside Clan digestion. Study more attention to detail of daily life, and through these details to show how the clan is practice, and how influenced political change.The first part in 1935--1949 National Government throughout the reign of the southern village of study period, this time depicting rural scenes, and to reveal the internal texture of the continuation of the clan village, and with the national government’s attempts to penetrate the countryside to explore the relationship between the traditional rural society and the State. In the second part of the 1949 founding of New China to the end of 1950 in order to investigate the southern village land reform period, about the early days of the changes from rural southern village angle to look for land reform to be carried out in the southern village of reasons. The third part, based on the entire South Village Land Reform Process of the period, with witness oral restore land reform campaign, starting from the microscopic to show changes of rural society. The fourth part, to the end of 1953, rural land reform after the investigation period, depicting the new rural order, with traditional country compare the role of land reform for this change. The last part of the entire study to sort out and summarize the logical and participate in the discussion and respond to academic research topics, research and think there are still shortcomings.
