Qinghai province is a multi-ethnic region, it’s located in the northwest of China.A large part of undergraduates who study here are native students. Different peoples have different genetic predisposition or living environment, they possibly make the peoples be different physical characteristics. Therefore, it’s necessary to make an intensive study about body composition and sport fitness, as well as the relationship between them for the students who come from Qinghai province. This study will make the Han, Tibetan and Hui male freshman who come from Qinghai province as the objects, investigating their body composition and physical fitness. Result: 1、There are differences among the three peoples in body shape, body shape derived index and body composition, but the differences are not significant. 2、Three peoples all have thin and fat checked out, the highest detection of fat is Han, followed by Tibetan, the highest detection of thin is Hui, and the thin body type of the three peoples are all over 50%. 3、There is a high linear relationship between free fat mass with height and weight, doing the regression analysis to get a regression equation YFFM =0.385 Xw + 0.405 Xh — 41.462, using the equation to estimates the free fat mass,then estimates the fat mass and the percentage of fat mass. 4、There are significant on1000 m running and pull-up. 5、Standing long jump and the fat mass, total body water,muscle mass, protein, protein percentage show a weak correlation, pull-up and mineral salt rate have a weak negative correlation.
